Here’s the situation: You’re at overnight camp or the pool or whatever. The shower is one where you can see other people shower…no walls or curtains between individual people. Bathing suit on or off? And if you have one on, do you undress at the shower? At the changing area and wrap in a towel to go to the shower? I did hear one thought: If it’s summer camp where you may not see them again, go in naked…but if it’s a situation where you’re gonna see them a bunch, more privacy.

Been in open showers since 6th grade

We have open showers at my school. We see each other butt naked.

At my school there were open showers and also in the swimming pool. But always strictly separated by gender. So I saw other women and girls showering naked and they saw me. I didn’t see anything that I didn’t already know.

Just got to where we have showers at school. We have a open area since it’s optional and see everyone naked so it’s no big deal.

I don’t have first hand experience but from what I just read, the answer is no they can’t. And it goes further than modesty. It’s apparently against Islamic rules or law. I read elsewhere that they couldn’t even use toilet paper until somewhat recently, that water should be used instead, and that it’s still the preferred method by the letter of the rule or law. I have only one good thing to say about the first school I went to, and that is that we had PE at the end of the day, so I could just grab my stuff and go when we were done, and shower at home instead.
