Forbided socila media

Hi, I would like to make an socila media account like instagram, tiktok etc but my parents forbided me. I am 12yo but all my friends have account but I dont. Is it normal? How can I create account without parents? they control my email and phone. Or is there any other social platform?

Your parents are right, there are a lot of creeps on the internet, including here in Teenhut.
For example, one person claims to have an overly large penis and hyperspermia. A 12 y.o. girl supposedly has very large breasts (does the latter sound familiar)?

Your parents are just trying to protect you. There lots of creeps on all over the internet and social media. Imo it is ok for them to not want you on those apps at your age.

Very normal. I’m 13 and I’m allowed on just one with mom keeping an eye on everything

If you are 12 then your parents have every right plus you can’t sing up to theses till you are 13, do not go behind your parents back

I believe Denmark is seeking to ban social media outlets for anyone 16 years old and under.

Falcons_11D I think quite a few countries are looking into banning younger people from using social media

I think Australia already have got a law (or will do soon) and the UK are trying to create one soon
