Ignore Users Feature

Seeing the “Drama” lately, an Ignore Feature has been implemented. Now you can go to the profile of the person and Ignore the Person. Once you ignore a person, he cannot sent private messages and in discussions, you will not see their posts.

My advice is to ignore someone who you don’t like instead of arguing and fighting with them.

Elara As an American, I drink Lipton tea, but we’re considered bourgeois when it comes to tea. I figured the Aussies adopted the British elite attitude toward tea. Apparently we don’t prepare it properly either.

I think the USA has the reputation of coffee or ‘sweet tea’ and for a normal cup apparently you don’t tend to use electric kettles to boil your water? I’m sure these are mostly just generalizations and stereotypes
Like Australians having pet kangaroos and being crazy people who live with dangerous animals when really it’s a safe place with few predators that threaten humans

I just boil the water in a small pot.

I think it’s a great feature. In every paradise, there will always be dogshit. And, unfortunately, this site is no exception. Let’s ignore this particular piece of dogshit. Don’t let him get under your skin. Don’t give in and sink down to his level, because that’s what he wants. That’s what gets him off. Amen.

Pultost Indeed. There are several shitty people already on this site. I’m not one to bury my head in the sand and ignore people though. But clearly it works well for some.

I think this will be a helpful feature, but just a reminder that it shouldn’t be a substitute for reporting or banning someone who’s violating the rules. 🙂

Yeah it is helpful. But just ignoring someone doesn’t help the forum as they can just do the same thing to someone else (and usually do 😥)

Sapio I don’t like doing it, and try to avoid it, but when someone gives you crap, and trying to reason with that person is like talking to a wall, the ignore function is good to have.

Sapio Some people just want to enjoy themselves on this site, and that’s a challenge when there are others who keep bothering them. Can’t blame them for wanting to shut them out. When you hear a song you can’t stand, you change the channel.
