New Orleans, Louisiana suffered a terrorist attack similar to the terrorist attack that happened in Magdeburg, Germany a month ago. A terrorist drove a small pickup truck into a New Year’s celebration crowd at around 3:15 AM. The police shot him. The death toll is at 15 and more than 30 people are critically injured. The terrorist was found to have IEDs in his truck as well as an ISIS flag. Now there an ongoing investigation to find if he had any other person assisting him. Two IEDs were found in the French Quarter and detonated by the bomb squad.
New Orleans the host city this year for the Sugar Bowl and also Super Bowl LIX.
