Went on holiday for three weeks and left my 2018 F-Pace parked in the garage. Came back yesterday and the car was completely dead, not even enough power to unlock the doors with the remote. Had to use the physical key to get in and then get a jump start. Once it was running everything seemed fine, but I’m worried that the battery is on its way out. The car is only 6 years old and I thought Jaguars were supposed to have smart charging systems that protect the battery. I’ve been reading online that these cars have a lot of electronics that draw power even when off, and that sometimes a simple jump isn’t enough if the battery has been deeply discharged. A coworker mentioned that there’s a Jaguar Battery Replacement Service Dubai that can come to your home and swap it out with the correct AGM battery and reset the battery monitoring system. Has anyone here dealt with a similar issue after leaving their Jag parked for a while? Did you just charge the old battery and it was fine, or did you end up needing a replacement? I’m trying to figure out if I should replace it preemptively or wait and see if it happens again. Don’t want to get stranded somewhere. Any advice appreciated.
