I’ve been going through some older Hindi typing material recently, and I noticed that a lot of it still relies on krutidev 010 font. Even though newer Unicode-based systems are available now, many typing exams, study materials, and official documents still seem to use this format.
The issue I keep running into is compatibility. The text looks fine on systems where the font is installed, but when shared online or opened on another device, it often turns into unreadable characters. That makes it difficult to use the content across websites, mobile devices, or even cloud-based document editors.
Because of this, I’ve started converting older text into Unicode before sharing or publishing it. It seems to solve most of the readability problems and makes the content easier to access everywhere.
Is anyone else here still actively using KrutiDev 010?
Or have you fully shifted to Unicode for Hindi typing work?
