Used Yukon Denali in Ras Al Khaimah – should I get it inspected before driving back?
So I found a 2018 Yukon Denali with the 6.2L, looks super clean in the photos and the guy says it’s a US import with a clean title. He’s asking a pretty fair price but I’m always suspicious of American imports here because sometimes they’re flood cars from places like Texas or Florida that got washed and shipped over. I’ve been reading up on common issues with these, and apparently the magnetic ride shocks are crazy expensive to replace, the AC evaporators like to leak, and the 10 speed transmission can develop a harsh shift if it wasn’t maintained right. I live in RAK but the car is there as well, so I’d be driving it around locally before committing. I started looking for a proper inspection place and found a gmc car inspection service dubai that will actually send someone up here or I can drive the car down to them. They claim to check everything from frame straightness to scanning for hidden modules that might have water damage evidence. Has anyone used a mobile inspection service for a Yukon or similar GM truck? I’m trying to figure out if they’re thorough enough to catch a car that’s been in a major accident and poorly repaired, or if I’m better off just taking it to the dealer in Ras Al Khaimah. The seller seems nice but something about the way he talks about the car being “perfect for the price” makes me feel like he’s hiding something. Any advice from Yukon or Escalade owners in the UAE would be great.
