Why Higgins Helitours matters
Higgins Helitours arrived with the Money Fronts update, where it sits alongside the Hands On Car Wash and Smoke on the Water Dispensary. On its own, it gives you another business to manage and another stream of income ticking away in the background. That’s useful, sure, but the better part is what it does for Air Freight Cargo. Once you own Higgins Helitours, your Air Freight Cargo earnings get a boost, which makes it worth collecting even if helicopter tours aren’t exactly your dream career in Los Santos.
Start with the Hands On Car Wash
There’s one catch before you can claim the free business. You need to own the Hands On Car Wash first. If you haven’t started the Money Fronts line yet, head to the Martin marker at Los Santos International Airport, around the departures area. Walk into the yellow marker and press right on the D-pad to trigger the cutscene. Martin will talk you through the setup and introduce Mr. Faber. After that, you’ll be taken over to the car wash, where the real buying part begins.
Buying the car wash
The Hands On Car Wash costs $1,000,000, so it isn’t free like Higgins Helitours this week. You can buy it through Maze Bank Foreclosures on your in-game phone, or you can walk up to the For Sale sign at the property and press right on the D-pad. Either way works. Once it’s yours, Raf will call and ask you to take a look inside. Go in, listen to the quick tour, and you’ll get access to the laptop for car wash jobs. If you care about the look of the place, you can also change the interior tint for $10,000 through Maze Bank Foreclosures.
Claiming your free helicopter business
After the car wash is set up, open Maze Bank Foreclosures again and look for Higgins Helitours. The price should show as free during the May 28 to June 3 event period. You can still choose an interior tint for $10,000 if you want, but you don’t have to spend that extra cash to claim the business itself. Just continue through the purchase screen and confirm it. If you’re comparing business progress across different characters or checking deals such as GTA 5 Modded Accounts buy, make sure you still claim this in time, because once the event ends, the normal price is expected to return.
