I’ve got a 2019 530i xDrive and lately something feels off when I’m turning into parking lots or making tight U-turns. It’s almost like the rear axle is fighting the front, you know that binding or skipping sensation? I read online that it could be a transfer case issue, especially if the fluid hasn’t been changed and the clutches start acting up. I took it to one shop and they just said “needs a new transfer case” without even checking the oil level or doing any calibration, which felt like a lazy answer to me. I really want to find a place that actually understands how the xDrive system works and doesn’t just throw parts at it. Has anyone here had a good experience with a Competent Transfer Case Service that can properly diagnose whether it’s just low fluid, a worn actuator, or if the whole unit is actually failing? I’m in Sharjah but work in Dubai so location isn’t a huge deal, I just want someone honest who won’t rip me off because they see a BMW badge. Also curious how much a fluid change typically runs for these, just so I have a baseline.
