BJade I can’t imagine how you managed to misinterpret my post as it being entertaining. In my circles, there was a lot of speculation about how they may have died, and the Medical Examiner just announced the cause of deaths the other day. It seemed a little late for a condolence thread, however I thought people might be interested in the update. I can assure you, I don’t find it at all entertaining, but interesting, indeed.
The wife died of the hanatvirus, a disease carried by rats on appx. February 11. Mr. Hackman, who had severe Alzheimer’s Disease is speculated to have died on February 18, the last day his pacemaker showed any action. So he was in the house with his deceased wife for a week. His stomach was empty. They’re speculating he died of heart failure, although it could also have been malnutrition. The one dog which died was in a crate, having recently had surgery. The necropsy was not complete at the time of the last article about it, but they’re convinced about the cause of deaths of Mr. Hackman and his wife. The two other dogs were elsewhere in the house and alive.
That you think my intention was entertainment says far more about you, than I.
