When you switched from child underwear (briefs if boys, panties if girls) to something more adult (like boxers, boxer-briefs, thongs, boy shorts) what was that like? Did you just go out and buy them yourself? Did you have to ask your parents and did they push back? (Oh, you’re too young for a thong.)

I switched from boxers to briefs when I was in 7th grade because my boxers hung down below the end of my PE shorts. I asked my mom to get me briefs.
I never considered either type to be boys or men’s style.

Having a long conversation with my grandpa about farming before the dementia took away his ability to hold a conversation, and when i was safe to be with him.

Both. Peed in a lake thru trunks and peed off a dock with friends in the dark.
