“…and secretions from the Bartholin’s glands.”
It’s interesting that the Bartholin’s glands are homologues* to the bulbo-urethral glands which are what produce pre-cum in guys. So that bit of a girl getting wet is equivalent of a guy pre-cumming which happens prior to cumming, not the equivalent of a guy ejaculating.
Further up the thread you mentioned female ejaculation. Another interesting homologue* is Skene’s gland in girls with the prostate gland in guys. The glands that produce the largest part of a guy’s cum are the seminal vesciles but most of the rest is produced by the prostate gland, so this has a clear purpose. The Skene’s gland seems to be where the G-spot and doesn’t seem to have a particular function, a bit like nipples in a male. It does seem possible, just like guys can have gynocomastia, girls could have a Skene’s gland that is developed enough to release some fluid.
- Homologues, in this context at least, are things that start out the same but then develop differently when a fetus is still inside the womb, according to hormones, especially testosterone.
