Hi everyone. If you know any relatives with terminal diseases feel free to talk about it here.
I’m so sorry if you’re experiencing this yourself. It sucks the big one. The best way to help is simply to be there for them as much as possible, being around, showing support. Also, it’s important not to throw a pity party, but to talk to them like you always have.
My grandmother had breast cancer, she also got a stroke a few years back, she recovered from the cancer but it was a tough time for our family overall. I was quite young so I don’t remember everything, but you should be around for them. Like make them live the rest of their life to the fullest you know? If we spend all that time just pitying everything then regret would be inevitable. So just take care of them in more ways than one, bring them flowers, make them handmade stuff or just talk to them to keep them entertained! And it is important to not overwhelm them! Just be like you always have like Pultost mentioned. Terminal illnesses suck, I wish that everyone can live their lives without limitations but it is what it is, but do not lose hope! Let the person with the illness remain a happy and cherished person till the inevitable time comes so that they remain a warm memory for you to look back to until the end <333 (I apologize if anything I’ve said hurts anyone’s sentiments! it’s just based on my own experience that’s all!)
Wow thanks everyone. I will try my best to follow your advice
Just be there for them. Having someone to talk to, and knowing you care about them, can really cheer someone up
I can’t imagine how hard that is but make them felt seen and valued and remembered
If they want a record of anything, help them record it
my grampa died to lung cancer and a 2 mother’s ago my other grandpa died to pancreatic cancer…

My dad died when I was little. But he wasn’t sick, it was a car accident.

So sorry to read this. to lose someone close by any method is painful. This is when you need the rest of your family and friends
after_the_rain333 jacksmith123 Thanks! I was very young when he passed. To be honest, I mostly remember him from pictures. Still kinda sucks having only one parent.
