I could really use your help.
I’ve been struggling to find a kitchen uniform that actually fits my body. Most chef coats are either way too tight in some areas or make me look like I’m about to burst out of them like Hulk. I’m 6’5”, wear a size 45 jacket, and have a 30” waist. I know chef coats are meant to be loose, but I still want to look fit and professional in my chef coat. I used to get my long-sleeve chef coat tailored, but honestly, it’s been hit or miss. Sometimes they end up looking way too baggy, and other times it just feels like a complete waste of money. The way some chef coats bunch up really irritates me. I just want a coat that feels comfortable and doesn’t make me look ridiculous. So far, the best chef coat for the kitchen I’ve found is from Lintex, medium-heavy cotton, double-breasted, button front, and a chest pocket. Anyone else got suggestions? What’s working for you?
