Not at the patients or the workload (although that too). I couldn’t believe how bad my scrubs looked. They gave us single pair of male scrubs, which looks boxy, scratchy, and somehow both too big and too short at the same time. I looked like I was playing dress-up as a doctor. Meanwhile, the residents here had well-fitted scrubs, tapered pants, V-neck tops… basically, they looked like professionals. I looked like I just rolled out of a laundry bag. After rounds, I asked around, turns out most guys just accept it. But I’m not doing 36-hour shifts in something that makes me feel like a blob. Finally I gathered some courage and asked a sweet nurse. She mentioned Lintex for better-fit scrubs for men, they’ve got better sizing, actual shape, and breathable fabric. Just placed an order for two sets. If it’s even half as good as it looks, I’m never going back to potato sack male scrubs again.
Will update after a week.
