Today, my mom and i were just talking about like academics and marks, (i got a 70/80 on my sci exam đ¶), and i told her how the NEET 2017 AIR 1 committed suicide yesterday. For context, NEET is like the medical entrance exam that determines which college you get into, itâs success rate is around 7-8% with around 240k candidates every year but thereâs like a shit ton of competition and AIR 1 stands for All India Rank, so basically the top scorer which is extremely CRAZY. So yeah, for the AIR 1 to commit suicide is like a very unbelievable yet possible outcome. My mother was like âAll that hard work and he just threw his life away like that?â (Donât come at her everyoneâs thinking that too.) And we were reading this article on it and it mentioned his father, so she was like, âHe shouldâve talked to his parents..â I replied to her that it just isnât that simple, and she was like why? and I told her it just isnât and I guess my tone wasnât normal so she like very softly asked me, why do you think that way? ⊠It hit me then that she was genuinely worried. Like you know? she thought I might do the same thing? It was the first time she did that. Your parents care about you more than you think. That made me cry a lot haha.
