I’m interested in watching the Shogun series. I know it’s not recommended for people under 16. But has it received a lot of positive reviews. Has anyone watched it? Is it really too violent?

I watched the first episode a while back and don’t remember it being very violent.

There are some parts that are a bit violent. (Trying not to give any spoilers) there are parts where you see people die, like committing seppuku (honor suicide), and being shot my cannons and arrows, and some sword fights and assassinations.

For the most part it’s not, but there are some parts its kinda depending on your opinion of what you think is too violent (but then the news now is pretty violent 😂)

I really liked it
It’s violent but I didn’t think too violent, its story/culture relevant and not just violent for the sake of it like an action movie

Ok if the violence isn’t too over the top it’s fine. There are other series I’ve seen like Narcos, with gratuitous violence that I didn’t like.
