How do you know when someone wants to be your friend?

Basically there have been two girls at my school that I’ve started talking to more often and I think we could be friends. However, how do I know if they actually like talking to me and want to be friends? I can be annoying, not on purpose of course, so how do I know if I’m annoying them? They’re both really respectful and kind so I’m guessing if I asked if I was bothering them they would assure me that I’m not even if I was. Also, I’m kind of shy so how do I know they want to hang out and don’t just feel bad for me (I have some friends but for some reason they are only in a few of my periods)? Please share with me your thoughts. Thank you very much,

I think if you spend too much time worrying about whether or not they want to be your friend, you’ll just cause yourself unneccasry fret. If you are talking and socializing with them, and they are doing the same back…just be cool with that and continue to do what you’ve been doing.

I agree with @BlackParadePixie . Just relax and chill. If you are talking with them and they are chatting back with you that is a good sign. You might also want to just walk into class and see if they ever approach you first to chat. that would really be a great sign.
