I used to love fireworks. I made some myself several times.
Then we got a dog. I had on idea what effect they have on dogs; almost all dogs. They tremble and get so upset. Ours found slight, but only slight relief in the bathtub. The Fourth, the days before and after, and to a lesser degree NYE, were terrible for her.
While I no longer have a dog, I can do without the fireworks, for the sake of the pups in the neighborhood.
However, the city puts on a nice fireworks display in the harbor, which doesn’t effect dogs.
