Does your school require you to wear jock straps for gym class? We do under gym shorts instead of underwear. Our coaches make us pull up our waistbands to prove we are in the supporters.

It may be strange but they were mandatory at my high school and middle school. We didn’t have to “prove” we were wearing them, but everyone did. Guess we were good little boys doing what we’re told to LOL

No, not sure boys in the UK ever wear Jocks (I used to think it was just an American name for someone good at sport 😂) But not sure they would anyway, not like anyone ever wore mouth guards or shin pads 😳 me and my brother had a lot of bruises and cuts 🤕 and a few friends with broken bones

Maseb Yeah same here - there’s no weird check, honor system I guess but we’re supposed to wear them. Some guys do compression shorts, it’s the same idea. It’s not that different from if girls had to wear sports bras or whatever I would think.

My school did require that all students in PE wear a jockstrap when participating in sports. They are supportive and protect the “family jewels”. If you ever had a basketball hit you in your balls whem just wearing underwear you know what I’m saying.

The jock isn’t supposed to save you from a direct hit it’s just to keep your nuts from bouncing around and stuff, which could hurt. Maybe your a little less of a target if things are held like held in more but probably need a cup for more impact protection or whatever.

Now jock inspection sounds like a reason someone’s getting fired that’s just weird.

You’re talking about a hard cup - that’s to protect you from impact. He’s asking about a regular supporter (jock strap). A supporter holds your package in so you’re not bouncing around and possibly straining things. Regular underwear aren’t as tight and supportive.
