Hey Everyone, Previously we were using WoltLab, however the software was outdated and the version we were using was no longer supported. As you all know that TeenHut does not have any revenue generation source, nor do we get any donations to run the site. So we could not afford to upgrade to the latest paid softwares. Hence we are relying on a open source forum software called Flarum. It looks good and interesting and it is free! We all should give it a try! Do let me know if you have any suggestions for our new forum!

Personally, what I liked about teenhut was the construction of the forum. I understand that you’re looking for a free site. After that it’s my personal taste but I don’t like the way the site is built. I’d like it to look like a forum. There’s forumotion which could be good and free and here: https://mybb.com /. It’s free too from what I’ve seen. I’d like to recapture the spirit of teenhut in the look of the graphics too. I’ll try to look for other free sites later, I can’t right now. I forgot to add that you can’t be notified by email.

We are exploring the software. Perhaps there is a way to make it look like a traditional forum. I’ll look at it tomorrow.

You’ve done well. It’s a shame there were all those problems with the server. I liked the way it was built too. I don’t know if it’s possible, but it would be nice to insert a banner with the site’s name on the home page. I’m having problems with the site on chrome and firefox. It only works on microsoft edge. I mainly use chrome and I don’t know why it doesn’t work with both browsers. Edit: It does work with firefox.🙂 If you want to add categories/forums like on teenhut, look here. I don’t really mind that we have a new site layout and everything, but the fact everyone has to re register is unfortunate

It’s acting really weird for me. I’m almost exclusively online with my phone (Safari and Chrome), and I am often getting the error Jade posted above. Even after clearing my history and cookies, and then resetting my phone to default settings. I was able to register last night and then after a few posts was kicked off and have mostly been getting that error. Nothing has changed on my end and I’m able to post now though? (Don’t know how long that will last)

Penelope I have installed a “Ignore” Feature ->Now you can hide their posts in discussion and prevent direct messages.

BlackParadePixie Flarum is a different type of forum software. Here there are no pages. It is endless scrolling type of forum.

Admin The error messages keep coming up, but the workaround isn’t that difficult. Just refresh the page and it posts, sometimes with the addressee and sometimes showing ‘unknown’ for addressee. That can be easily fixed with an ‘edit,’ which I only recently discovered.
